Under The Tree @ The Santa Barbara Digital Film Festival
I am excited to announce that Under The Tree will be playing in this weekend's Santa Barbara Digital Film Festival!
It will be playing Campbell Hall at 8pm. Tickets are 8 dollars at the Film & Media Studies Department!

The Premiere-Day 5 & 6-First two acts!
What a weekend! Jeez, but what fun. Worked with amazing people. Tony Ung joined us as cinematographer and Greg Stanley joined us on sound for the main segments of The Premiere. Big big big big big thanks to Taylor Hungerford for letting us use his camera for the shoot!
We essentially filmed the first two acts of the film plus a bit more of the Supreme Devastation trailer.

The Premiere-DAY 4-Fotography Girl Wrap!
Well Day 4/Day 2 of FS was certainly more relaxed, but we shot our last scene in the CCS art gallery on the UCSB campus plus our semi-creative fun credits!
Then I drove down to Burbank to drop Fotography Girl off at Fotokem to be developed!
Wow. One weekend out of three is finished. Crazy how time flies!

The Premiere-Day 2 & 3-Supreme Devastation & Fotography Girl
So day 2 consisted of a small unit shooting Desmond White's parts for Jeff's trailer Supreme Devastation along the Santa Barbara coast in Ellwood.
Day 3 was our first official shoot day and it was for Fotography Girl, Marie's short in The Premiere/REEL LOUD.
It was my first experience directing 16mm and I cannot thank everyone enough for their patience. We totally rocked it hard. I am sunburnt lol

New Cast Members
Hi everyone just wanted to let you all know that FOUR new folks have joined in on the fun. I can't believe we are finally shooting next weekend!
Without further ado:
Noemi Gonzalez plays Karie the mysterious gypsy woman in Fotography Girl, Marie's short (Reel Loud).
David Brainard (star of Wilcox: Sex Therapy) plays Alec Hertz, the tough professor with a heart of gold.
Desmond (Jared) White plays God (with a samurai sword) in Jeff's epically pretentious film (trailer), Supreme Devastation.
Alex Bostelman plays Gardener Pete, one of the townspeople in Marie's short Fotography Girl.
I'm so happy to have these talented people join our already super talented cast!
A quick note: Draft 8 of The Premiere is complete and is the tightest one yet. I presume the one we will go into shooting with for the production.
See you all real soon!

The Premiere-DAY 1-Polaroid Photo Stills
So despite the expense of Polaroid film I'm really happy I decided to shoot their still photographs using a polaroid film.

The Premiere (THE CAST)
Greetings everyone,
lots of news to fill you all in on!
The Premiere now has a producer, Sarah Cho, producer of last year's award winning Reel Loud Mustache Maria and producer of the upcoming 106 documentary, Ripped Off. She has already put in a lot of work into the project and I am so happy to have someone as talented as her at the head with me.
Shooting dates are starting to materialize....
AND THE BIGGEST ANNOUNCEMENT...of course...
We have our entire cast (except two top secret people still pending):
Carla Amurao as our lead Marie Palanca:
Joe Raffanti as our lead Jeff Brannan:
Jane Kim as Michelle Nguyen/Angela (Fotography Girl segment):
Alexandra Gellner as Gracie May/Patricia (Supreme Devastation segment):
Tarah Pollock as Morgan Woods
Ben Margalith as Akiva Miner
Jason Ko as Mayor Ashworth (Fotography Girl segment):
Even if you have a dollar your donation would be much appreciated and depending on the amount there are certan rewards!

The Premiere is about a young and now frustrated filmmaker as he attends the premiere of his ex-girlfriend's new film only to be reminded of the great love they once had together.
The film will use S8mm, 16mm and HD to show each lover's respective films that not only reveal themselves but their subconscious attitudes towards each other.
Filming will take place in April/May for a release in June!
